Computer Science

The connection between mathematics and engineering is often more apparent within computer science than in any other discipline. The scientists within this discipline can be split into two broad categories: those who work on software (the mathematicians) and those who work on hardware (the engineers).

In this section, we have scientists who were at the forefront of developing the computer science field, as well as those who accidentally found themselves pioneers due to the changing landscape of practicing science in the 20th Century.
